Training: earn while you learn

Partnering with construction companies, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters (MARCC) provides members with free training in the specialties most needed by the construction industry today.  Apprentices learn the latest techniques of their chosen craft and study math, blueprint reading, safety, first aid, and use and care of tools and estimating. They work with wood, metal, and the latest synthetic materials.

As you learn on the job, you get paid. Wages automatically increase each year.

Among other things, graduates become:  carpenters,  pile drivers,  floor layers, millwrights and exhibit builders. Many graduates start their own businesses.

To qualify, you must be drug-free, and have:
  1. A high school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
  2. Ability to pass  a high school math test
  3. Ability to work with others
  4. Ability to arrive on time and work hard
